Four-year-old Jorel Rodriguez was much more interested in the Lawrence fire truck than learning about his newly installed child safety seat.
Saturday, Rodriguez was among dozens of kids who visited Commonwealth Motors to have a new child safety seat installed in a parent or caregiver's vehicle.
While the Marston Street dealership is the back drop, Lawrence General Hospital provides the seats and installation through grant money.
Pizza was served and a ice cream truck was ready with ice cold sweet treats. Lawrence firefighters were there with a fire truck ready for kids to climb all over.
Lawrence police officers Angel Mejia and Charlie Saindon, in the auto theft task force, handed out "Club" anti-theft car devices for free and had a corn hole game set up.
There was a Lawrence General Hospital ambulance there too, with paramedics Brianna Beland and Tina Harris ready to give tours.
