Mayor Daniel Rivera announces June Black as Business and Economic Development Director for the City of Lawrence. June has over twenty-two years of experience working in Congressional offices and comes to Lawrence from Congresswoman Niki Tsongas’ office, where she served as District Director and Regional and Constituent Services Director and a key advisor on economic and community development projects across Greater Lawrence.
“June is a lifelong Lawrence resident who has always been one of our most fierce advocates,” said Mayor Daniel Rivera. “I am excited to have June on board. June has a solid reputation for excellence and accomplishments, among the small and large business community across the Merrimack Valley, federal agencies, state and local government entities and community-based organizations. She has a proven track record of successful economic development projects and I am eager to get to work with her to drive economic development in the city.”
June has a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Simmons College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire. June brings a strong track record of large and small local development projects, a few of them including:
